This position is located at Shy Bird - Kendal Square.   • Maintaining the tone and pace for the team throughout dinner service all the way to the close of the restaurant
  • Modeling warm/energetic/timely greetings as guests approach the bar
  • Modeling great hospitality and empathy
  • Cultivating and communicating regulars
  • Lead new bartender training efforts as well as beverage training for new servers, ongoing training for staff by contributing to and utilizing the Opus training platform
  • Full knowledge of the food menus
  • Through the direction of the General Manager, hold the bartending team accountable for:
    • Service & Hospitality expectations
    • Engagement with the Wine by the Bottle list/red book
    • Opening and Closing checklists
    • Daily and Weekly cleaning projects
    • Organization of the bar and refrigeration/storage
    • Oversee the nightly Bar Log and delegate prep projects
    • Daily communication around bar ordering needs by utilizing the Bar Order Guide
    • All in All Day, always running food, assisting the floor
  • Assisting with inventory at the end of each month
  • Participate in seasonal beverage changes including ordering, implementation, training
  • Supporting expo/packing as necessary, always running food
  • Contribute to the growth and evolution of Shy Bird with ideas and feedback
