Scope & General Purpose
As a Seasonal Closing Supervisor at Shy Bird, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the standards of service and operational excellence during our busiest periods. Your responsibilities will include overseeing closing sidework, ensuring accurate financial transactions, managing end-of-day procedures, and securing the restaurant. This position requires a balance of strong leadership, maturity, and effective communication skills to guide and inspire the team during closing shifts.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate all closing procedures to ensure smooth, efficient end-of-day operations
• Oversee closing sidework and ensure all tasks are completed to company standards
• Manage cash handling, POS system operations, and end-of-day financial reconciliation
• Ensure proper security protocols are followed, including locking procedures and alarm systems
• Support and guide team members during closing shifts, addressing questions and resolving issues
• Maintain cleanliness and organization standards throughout the restaurant
• Communicate any operational concerns or maintenance needs to management
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations

Hours
• 3 to 4 closing shifts per week
• 20-30 hours per week
• Seasonal position with potential for extension based on performance and business needs
